So as some of you know, I went to my first autocross this weekend. I ran in STS and will get some pics up as soon as I find the cable to get em off the camera.

But it was pretty much a figuer 8 course, racing another guy. Bracket style, 2 loses and you're out, pretty standard ****. First race I was pretty much learning the course and how the car would do. I launched off the line and spun/hopped thru second. Now, at lot of first timers I've seen don't push hard enough on the course. I didn't wanna be that guy, so I pushed it probably harder then I should of. Ever seen a 6gc get sideways? Yeah mine did a few times each run. But I lost my first round to a jag w/ a rollcage and large cam. Second round was better. I didn't launch off the line at all, and that helped a bunch. I tried left foot brakingto keep my ass end from coming out on coners. It worked like a dream. I managed to win that round against a VW golf w/ spring/ and shocks on azenies. Next round I had to race another VW. So I pull up to the line feeling a bit cocky. The flag drops, I side step the clutch and floor it. Dead. I managed to stall it on the line. Now, there are things you do in life that make you feel like an ass. Ya know, pissing on your shoes, walking in on ur parents, that sorta thing. But stalling at a race event is just ghey. So I kick it back on and did a fair amount of catching up but pushed too hard on my last turn and understeered which last me the race.

So all in all it was a blast. My F1's held up real well and I'll be sure to get out there again. Not only that but there was a real hot chick autocrossing her neon. Her dad autocross's his ACR and so it was her first time. She hit a bunch of cones, it was cute.

If someone wants to host the pics up, that'd rock.
