Carbon Fiber - is it just me? Options

I get so many people asking whats up w/ my hood, they say things like "what is that fabric looking material on your hood? did it come stock or is that an after market thing?" etc...etc...

But when I tell them its carbon fiber their reply is always "hmm i've never heard of it!" Kinda like Ron Burgundy's reply to Veronica Corningstone when she says "When in rome!..." (if u havent seen anchorman just ignore that last part)

Anyway - do any of you other CF fans get comments from people wondering what the heck it is? Or do old men just want an excuse to talk to me? LOL

I had a cop knock on my hood and ask a few question like what was the weight difference etc it got me out of a ticket
