Ok, I was setting up for a sound competition for tonight, just doing a test run for a big competition in the city on the 1st, and well about 10-15 mins into running, I go to pop my hatchback and I am greeted with deafining rattles...(I blew my left sub) this is the second set of MTX's I've went through in the past year, I'm running all Apline Type R inside(which are always kickin some nice beats), but the MTX's aren't holding out on the low end... the 6000;s are nice, but they can't take much abuse for lon periods of time. I don't want to go with 8000's because they are too power hungry. I don't want to add a crazy new set of 12's, that will make my system sound like all bass. I like the way it sounds now, it's all evened out, but the subs just can't handle the power. what should I run with? right now I'm running a mono 6500D amp pushing the 2 6000 12's. I want something that will take abuse, will sound just as good or better, and is not power hungry.
I have 1000w cap, and I'm about to get my altenator rebuilt with a high performance coil, so I'm not afraid to try something new, I just don't want to take away from the overall suond quality. Please give me some input guys, I need to get this together before the 1st of June, so I can win some money to get the exterior and engine work done to my car...

Well, I don't have a car, so I don't have audio yet. But I wish you the best of luck on your competition, that way you can hook up the rest of your car. So, good luck! smile.gif
