Thanks to Doug and rjb23 for experimenting with other short shifters (Doug-EVO and rjb23-7th gen). I recieved mine (7th gen about $45 on ebay) and installed. It took about 1.5 hours from start to finish. I downloaded the instructions from TWMs website and read the ones in the how to articles.
I have to say the throw is much much shorter and about 1-2 inches lower than stock. My finger are kinda close to the dash but I think it is because I only used 2 of the 4 spacers (the back 2) plus I have big hands. I will put some pics up when I put the other 2 spacers in. Bottom line, this this rocks - great mod for $45. This post has been edited by Batman722: Mar 29, 2005 - 12:24 AM -------------------- |

just wanted to let you all know, thanks for the inspiration. i just recently installed my 7th gen short shifter and runs perfect. didnt cut that plastic piece, but still runs smooth. gonna double check if it rubs though later this morning. thanks again, for all the r&d and time taken to make installing so much easier. late!
