Hi,
First I must say thanks for all the information on this site. I have spent the last few days reading abou tthe wonderful things that can be done to this car.

I am about to purchase a 1995 ST with an automatic transmission. The engine is blown, therefore I would need a new motor. I have read the Feasible Swap thread along with many others. Most discussions focus on swapping the turbo engine, but I am interested in the cheapest route (replace the ST engine) or if possible, the engine from a GT (5S-FE?). Would the GT engine work with the auto transmission? I am guessing that the engine mounts would have to be changed as well. Would I have to make any wiring changes?

Thanks

Yes. From the factory, both the 4AGE and 7AFE use the same tranny... only with different gearing.
