Do you guys inform your insurance company when you swapped your engine? If so how much increase did it go up by?

my friend got a wrx and his insurance actually got cheaper than it was on his 95 gs eclipse with minor mods...his insurance company considered the WRX more of a family car since it was 4 doors and AWD so he was only paying 99 bucks a month for full coverage on it and was pain like 150 a month on the eclipse
