So I opened up a savings account today to start saving for my move to So-Cal next summer.
I was wondering if some of the so-cal people can help me out! I need some names of some apartments/cities that are relatively cheap but in a good area and where the Celica will be safe. Id like a one bedroom but i will take a studio if i need to. I wanna be less than an hour from the beach. If you guys could give me names of Apartments that would be awesome! Id like to live somewhere between San Diego and LA! Thanks everyone! :-) -------------------- Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City

QUOTE(lagos @ Aug 28, 2005 - 11:33 AM) i am also planning to move to cali. id like some good recomendations too. my family wants to buy a house with a garage... so far we looked at moreno valley and corona, but id like some more places to recomend i go to school in the inland empire (riverside) and let me say...well you get what you pay for. It's a big area without the frills or luxuries of a big city, like one giant suburb. A hot suburb. The beauty of it is the home market is still low (although everyone and their moms are moving out to the IE cause its cheaper, get in before the bubble bursts) and its pretty close to a lot of nice areas (<1 hr to beach, 1+ hr to LA, 1.5 hr San Diego, <1 hr Palm Springs, 4+ hr Las Vegas). Theyre still building a lot of new tract/community homes in the area. Good luck. Oh and if you plan on moving out here anytime soon, theyre doing this massive freeway renovation, and traffic is a mother. The valley (northern LA county, very hot) is another place...its where everyone moved to last decade to escape the city(the old Inland Empire) so I dont know if its a feasible option although it is nice. I have friends who live there and they live in nice areas. The south bay (where i live, carson) is nice too, close to beaches etc. My house is about 15 miles from the beach, close to a freeway/industrial areas/oil refineries and its worth about half a mil now. Its a 4 bedroom 2 bath 2 story corner house. So yeah, if youre really movin out here, good luck, and can i get a ride in your car? QUOTE(BlackCelicaGT94 @ Aug 29, 2005 - 9:35 PM) and from people i talk to in torrance and what not..it sounds like the same cost of living as it is here in Washington 735 for a one bedroom here in WA and thats what it seems to run around the areas im looking at. Torrance is a very nice area, although the westside (beach->inland) is a lot nicer than the eastside (old town/downtown). From what I know though there doesn't seem to be a lot of apartments around, maybe a few upscale condos here and there. The only apartments i ever see in torrance are on busy streets and look kinda ghetto. If you find an apartment at that price in a nice neighborhood over here, go for it. Do you know what your total price range will look like? |
