I have a 97' top CD player/bottom cassette player deck, and CD player wouldn't play cds anymore, so I purcahsed a 98' CD deck thinking they're the same ****. Turn out the plug on the back is different. What is there that I could do? Please help!

i say return it and get a after market cd player. do you really need the tape deck?
