hi, i took my car to the shop earlier today and had my front/left wheel bearing and seals replaced. once the job was done and ready to leave, i noticed the ABS light was ON when the car is running. i'm pretty sure it came on after the mechanic did his job so i told him and he said to drive around for awhile and it'll turn off, so that's what i did. after driving around the ABS light still didn't turn off. anyways, i was wondering if anyone has had this problem with the ABS light staying on after replacing a wheel bearing and can point out what could be the problem so then i wouldn't have to waste my time bringing my car back to the shop and let the mechanic waste my time to diagnose the problem... thanks!

You better get your mechanic to fix the problem. ABS tend to cost alot to repair and don't forget that you have to reset it at you local toyota dealer. Perhaps, he screwed up somwhere and didn't know what he was doing. I reccomend that you just take it to toyota and have them look over it. It might just need to be resetted, but if your mech. broke something have him pay for the charges. You might just need to have a nice lawyer on standby if he starts denying stuff.
