Let me guess you make about 300 to 500 quid a week also.
I don't know much about the UK but my secretary worked in a nursing home in Port Lincoln, Au as an aide and made around $50,000 USD a year, but also consider the average American family pays between $400 to $1,000 a month in medical insurance where aussies get free medical, plus we rent our land from the governement regardless if we have the deed or not, skip a taxation and it's all gone, so yeah you pay a lot in petrol (even though it's only about $2 USD, the rest is tax) consider the fact that it all gets evened out in the end. BTW as long as Venezuela is paying 12 cents USD a gallon (as of yesterday) everyone has the right to complain. Now on to the subject it jumped to $2.99 but there isn't any fuel left here. Also for Kadett, it's 6.48 USD or $103 for a full tank, but the UK is around 75 cents USD less per gallon so yeah the Netherlands owns everyone, but as before Europeans also make more than americans. Here's a link of gas around the world in USD: http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lists/global_gasprices/ This post has been edited by darksecret: Sep 1, 2005 - 10:57 AM |

QUOTE(darksecret @ Sep 1, 2005 - 10:29 AM) Let me guess you make about 300 to 500 quid a week also. No. I make rather more than that as it happens. How is that relevent. I'd make more money if I moved to the US. QUOTE(celicaboston1983 @ Sep 1, 2005 - 10:57 AM) why are u euro guys still driving at $7 a gallon? Because the bike is hard work at 70mph for 200 miles, and has limited load space. Additionally, petrol is in my blood. QUOTE(Bigmeanbulldog55 @ Sep 1, 2005 - 11:31 AM) Because in Europe, they don't have to pay for anything else. Read above post by darksecret. Also thought I would mention, due to admitions requirements in America we get worse gas mileage. And, we have to pay for car insurance. Which is about $1200 a year average. What on earth are you smoking dude? We pay for insurance as well, and I pay a lot more than 1200 bucks a year. We also have to pay 200 bucks a year to tax every car we own. I also pay 40% tax on what I earn, on top of national insurance and 17.5% tax on everything I buy. The reason the US get apparent worse gas milage is because your gallons are smaller than ours. -------------------- JDM ST205
Blitz Spec NUR Exhaust, somewhere over $1000 Needing another one 18000 miles later, bloody annoying. |
