So I know this kid who has a wrecked sixth gen. I took a look at the car today and it's in sad shape...the car's steering wheel points to the left side when the car is going straight and the car feels really unstable when it hits a bump above about 40 MPH.
I didn't glance underneath, but I looked and saw this: The driver side upper frame rail looks very slightly tweaked...would you guys think that this would cause the alignment problems? And do you think it's safe to drive? And do you think an alignment would fix it?

QUOTE(Hanyo @ Sep 9, 2005 - 9:06 AM) the bent frame is part of the crumple zone. It is design to bend like that. When the crumple zone has been crushed, the car is usually totaled. Because you can't sucessfully fix crumple zones. he's right, listen to him! even if you do fix the crumble zone to your best ability, isn't it still deemed unsafe by law? idk, remember hearing something about that in autobody shop class.... |
