Ok it seems I'm the only one having this problem...
Where the risers bolt onto the spoiler, does anyone already have the holes predrilled and have the metal threading in there? My spoiler only has the holes where it bolted to the hatch, not where the riser blocks bolt onto. So I drilled some holes in the correct place on the spoiler but I don't have a clue what to put in the hole to retain the bolt. I took some pictures, they're bad quality because its dark and I only had a camera phone. If anyone can think of any suggestions besides going to a body shop it would be appreciated. |

I did not have the holes pre-drilled. I drilled the holes myself where it is marked in the first pic. To mount I used a screw like these
2 on each side, and it is best to use a lock washer and use some silicone I put some silicone on each screw to make sure they held and were water tight, and I also put some in between the blocks and the spoiler to be safe. Some others have used epoxy to hold the spoiler and the blocks together (along with the screws) but if you decide to put things back to stock, you wouldn't be able to without probably damaging the blocks/spoiler. I have had no problems with my set up at all. It has been a few months and still holding strong and I have driven pretty damn fast on the highway numerous times. -------------------- |
