should i get the 3S-GE VVTI or 3sgte, which one is easier and which one is better and quicker and by how much. also to let u know i have a 97 st

The race celica I work on has a 3sge mainly due to the fact that we can't run turbos. Plenty powerful engine and a very easy swap. Also pretty easy to locate in the US for cheap. I would tend to think with some head work you could really have a nice little power plant that isn't over the top and has far less electrical demons to exercise.
