I know this has been asked 100 times but I have a short ram on my GT right now and I recently found the How to for a CAI, I was wondering if there was a big enough difference to spend the 40 or whatever for the piping and the time spent installing? Whats the average power gain on a short ram vs a CAI? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

how about keeping the ram and cutting vents on each side of the hood right in front of the filter? like 6" or a foot behind the highbeam.

that sounds like more work, a odd looking hood, possible repaint, and dont forget that ud have to scoop the air in. as hood "vents" vent hot air rather then suck in hot air unless made to do so for another vent in the back to become more efficent.
