Yesterday I finally finished up a long-term project...my '88 Celica GT. I paid $400 for this car with 132,000 miles on it...it needed a valve cover gasket and a tranny fluid change and new filter, and brakes all around. Now all of that's done, the car has a CD player and power options and everything, and it now has somewhat nice paint and wheels, all for under $1,000, including the price of the car.
Here are some progress pictures: And here it is now: It looks like a 4x4, but it's all good...the rims are coming off shortly and it's going to be my bro's first car when he turns sixteen in less than a month. It should be a good first car for him.

Wow Coomer,
That is a beautiful car. You made a PERFECT choice in picking a flat black paint... perfect. I have grown to love all models of Celicas, so this post just inspires me. What makes me smile is that that Celi you fixed is still running and still looks good! That is the reason I love the 6gens because I think the lines/curves/styling will always be appealing to the eye and it's reliable engineering speeks volumes about Toyota. excellent work! -------------------- |
