okay,so..a week after I fix my power windows I am driving home...and in the middle of me driving a red light on my dash pops on...It's my open door sensor light..I get out of the car and spend the next solid hr trying to figure out what is wrong..opening the doors, slamming the crap out of them...pushing in the side door sensors in my hand...
I am under the impression it's the hatch somehow...mostly because I couldn't find the sensor for the back....while having the driver's door open it would sound until I pushed in the little rubbed nubby thing...so, I know it's not my driver's door. I really want to be able to goto the Oct 1st meet but at this rate I should just sell my friggin car for $5,000 and be done with it...and If I do sell it,it will come with 1/2 the turbo parts that I've already collected and a 4-2-1 N/A header as well. *sigh* anyone know how to fix this before I lose my mind and sell my car?! -------------------- |

I suggest finding one lol. When the hatch latches down it swings up and hits the sensor...just take off the back plastic part in your trunk and you'll see it there along with the latch. Although, I highly doubt that is it. Have you done any type of work under the dash recently? If so, for some reason the door trigger wire may be grounding out. Did you try your passenger sensor? You said you tried the driver's side but there's one on the passenger side as well. So yeah, check the passenger, then hatch, then if you've done any wiring lately check under the dash for any bare wires and insulate them. If that doesn't help, then repost with what you have tried and what hasn't worked so far so we can help you further. Don't sell your car over an open door alert.

only electrical I have touched recently was rewiring new door speakers and tweeters and put a new power window motor in my passenger side. I can't really see any "sensor" per say..what color should it be? This post has been edited by 97Celica: Sep 19, 2005 - 7:39 AM -------------------- |
