Hey. I am installing my alarm and am doing alright so far but i have become stuck at this one part.for the remote start i have to find the "hood pinswitch" wire and i can only find the "trunk/hatch pinswitch" also there is another wire that just says (-) status output but it doesnt say where it gets connected to. Thanks in advance for the help.

The switch can be mounted in a convenient location at the edge of the engine compartment so that the closed hood compresses the switch. When the hood is lifted, the switch-pin pops up and prevents the engine from starting. We fashioned a small metal bracket to simplify mounting the pin-switch (figure H).
