Update:
The UK supplier has indicated that he must charge me a 17.5% UK VAT (value added tax) to the skirts that we are purchasing since they will be purchased and picked up in the UK. This increases the price of the original skirts we are buying. Fortunately, we can get this extra cost back. Romas is having a friend from London deliver the skirts to him. The supplier has indicated that the VAT can be refunded once the skirts leave the country. Apparently, there is a VAT form that must be stamped at the border. I need to know where to get one of these forms so that we can get it to Romas' friend. Any help would be appreciated. I will post a topic in the general section to see if some of our UK friends can help with this form. I am waiting for Manny's deposit payment to buy the skirts. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |
