Looking at replacing my stock 185/70/14 tires with sportier tires on the 14" rims. I was thinking about putting 195/65/14 Yokohama AVID T4's.
But, when I called the Tire Rack, they said they could not guarantee them to fit. Any problems here? rubbing? Suggestions? Would like larger rims one day. But with gas prices so high, it's cheaper to just get new tires. |

if you have a 14" rim but have a 65 tires on there.. it comes out to the same size as a 15" rim with a 55 tire .. in gas mileage and speed.
well pretty damn close.. you have to look @ the overall size of the tire and the wheel combined.. a small rim with big tires.. will be the same as a big rim with small tires.. the only thing that would change would be ride quality.. 195/70/14.. that's a big tire so.. oh yeah forgot to calculate in weight of the rim.. but that's why you buy a nice lighter rim.. plus how much difference can it make..
