so this is my turbo
![]() its a garett t3. i dont know what the specifications are. i mean i did, but i got it 2 years ago. how can i find out what the specs are? they dont have this particular one on ebay. they sorta do...but the wastegate is internal unlike my external one. i dont know if that would work. like..how would i change the boost? anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated. ![]() i need a brand new one. im sick and tired of rebuilt ones. this is my 3rd rebuilt turbo and it sucks. ![]() This post has been edited by forkee: Oct 4, 2005 - 4:47 PM -------------------- ![]() |

Remove the intake pipe, and take the look inside there will be some numbers writen on the inside wall. Do the same on the exhoust side. Then let us know the number. But i bet this will be 42/48 trim. And as i see from the pic - you have the bad clocking of the main part of the turbo - the oil outlet HAS TO BE straight DOWN as much as poible, this might be the problem why you are damaging your turbo, cuz you are cocking some oil inside, and damaging the seals. Oil is not able to get out of the turbo as fast as posible....
