OK, I'm kinda lazy right now after 3 hours of trying to figure out why the door kept crushing the fenders on the celica when you opened the dam door!

Anyways this post is to help out those who are swapping a 4age Silvertop into there ST celicas. Please contribute if you guys know more, but for now this is all I can jot down.

I am running without A/C and P/S. Whitout P/S it is a real pain to turn corners ( next to impossible) but it is a real challenge that no normal person can do. The ISCV on my engine does not seem to work, cause my ECU is kinda fried/repaired.
so I run without this connected as well.

Anyways, some parts that are interchangable with the 4age is:

1.)Toyota Celica GTS throttle cable from a 4th Generation. Will fit without any modifications. Direct bolt on and long enough!

2.)AFM from same car, or differenct toyota cars with the same connectors.

3.) COR

What I know:

1.)You can keep you original fuse box and everything will work, provided that you know what your splicing and what not.

2.) I'm not too sure, but if you can get a hold of a 16V alternator, waterpump, and all the mounting bolts. You don't have to cut into the ECU's temp sensor to receive a TEMP signal for the car.

3.) you will need to splice the connector on the alt. on the ST to work with your wiring.

For now this is all I can contribute. I still have to piece my car back together from my swap and although my engine bay is super messy. At least I can find everything I need!

I will post a link where you guys can download data for the 4age, wiring, and 7afe wiring and misc. photos.

Are you sure that any AFM with the 7-pin connector will work? That doesn't seem right. What are you running personally? I have a feeling that if you're not running the AE101 4A-GE AFM your engine probably isn't running as well as it could be.

The temp signal comes from a sensor near the distributor near one of the water necks I believe. Why would you want to use the 16V alternator and waterpump?

Edit: What's a COR?

If you use the 16 Valve alternator you can mount it on the front, with the water pump thingy that attaches on the back you can bolt this on, because the Alt gets in the way. You can hook up old your old TEMP sensor without modding the TEMp to the ECU. However doing so, P/S for the 4age stock won't work.

I am using an AFM from an old type camry that uses the same AFM pin, cause my brother sprayed enamel on the internals of the stock 4age ST.

What do you mean when you say modding the temp to the ECU? I guess I'm still not understanding why you'd want to use 16V 4A-GE accessories.

This just doesn't make sense. Are you just running two extra constant +12v wires from the battery to the ECU? Where do they connect to?

Arghhh!! Ok coomer, the thing with the 16V stuff is that you can utilize the Old TEMP sensor on the water pump fittings. The stock gauge on your car actually goes to a sensor fitted on the 16V water pump acc. You don't have to do this unless you want too!

The two 12V wires goes to 1 spot on your car like stock harness. Stock has 2 wires that run from the relay to the OCR, and from the relay throught the whole harnesss system powering up everything and then to the ocr.
I just ran 1 wire and I Dunno, but my car idles roughly.
