Changing Radios with another stock Options

94 Celica i own has a nice smooth turning radio knob. The 1997 GT I own has a point turn knob where it kinda clicks to positions.

I'd like to change them out and wanted to know if there would be connection issues to the radios or anything I should watch out for.

i don't see why not. it should mount fine in my opinion. but making it work with the same wire harness is another story. take note whether you have the 4 speaker system, 6-speaker package or 8-speaker system. i have the 8 speaker package in mine and there are 2 factory amplifiers, one beneath the driver seat and one behind the center dash bezel (the stereo plastic panel) behind the cigarette lighter. i'm not sure if the 6 speaker has at least one amp but i do now the 4-speaker system doesn't have any.

now, im not too sure if they use the same factory wiring harness between the different speaker system setups but i would highly doubt it.

anybody want to confirm that info?
