im probably the 1st one to go from a 3 post 97+ spoiler to the gt4 one...woot!

yeah i agree. toyota wouldnt really put a spoiler this big on a car, just for looks, and like u said, the spoiler would be most effective at higher speeds. so i think its just a matter of it making the overall aero dynamics of the car better.

Well, they put the big spoiler on the AWD version of our cars so I am not sure your logic applies.

That said, I did some more research and the concensus at honda-tech.com is that a spoiler (or, more appropriately, a wing) can be beneficial for FWD cars. There is alot of information over there if anyone wants to read up on it. The short version is that s wing, like front air dams, is primarily used to prevent the car from lifting at high speeds rather than assisting with traction. I stand corrected.
