QUOTE I think it's just for stability at higher speeds, be it FWD or RWD yeah i agree. toyota wouldnt really put a spoiler this big on a car, just for looks, and like u said, the spoiler would be most effective at higher speeds. so i think its just a matter of it making the overall aero dynamics of the car better. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

Well, they put the big spoiler on the AWD version of our cars so I am not sure your logic applies. That said, I did some more research and the concensus at honda-tech.com is that a spoiler (or, more appropriately, a wing) can be beneficial for FWD cars. There is alot of information over there if anyone wants to read up on it. The short version is that s wing, like front air dams, is primarily used to prevent the car from lifting at high speeds rather than assisting with traction. I stand corrected. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |
