Hey Folks,
I just replaced my original clutch at 131K mi. I installed an Exedy Sportline clutch Kit. Resurfaced the Flywheel and used the same oil that the dealership uses. Now, when cold, its hard to shift into 1st, and when shifting into 3rd, all the time, it grinds a little. I did not grind before the clutch replacement, but the original clutch was slipping, so that 's why I replaced it. Any ideas about why its hard to shift into 1st and grinds into 3rd? Thanks, SKippy344 |

Yeah, I got 157k miles on mine and 3rd has been grinding for the past 50k It just recently got bad where I could be sitting at a light and it would try to go into 3rd with my hand resting on it. I changed the clutch fluid a few weeks ago (was all black and burnt) and it's been diminished significantly. Also, there are like 2 ways to put it in 3rd. I found that if I shifted just a little bit more the right when putting it in 3rd, it didn't grind. Just a thought.
