I'm going to court on Friday for a speeding ticket. Truthfully, I'm pretty nervous. I'm hoping that the cop simply doesn't show up. I'm not going to deny that I was speeding. I was merely hoping to go to court and apologize and what not and hope for a reduced sentence. Even so, I'm not sure exactly what to say. Can anyone help me? TY

QUOTE(Terzin1 @ Oct 10, 2005 - 11:24 PM) some advice. Judges take the law very technically, whats written is the law. If it says you were "exceeding the posted speed", go find the definition of "exceeding the posted speed" in the civic library and copy it. If you did not commit even a single part of that definition, you should get off scott free because technically you did not commit the crime. There is no committing part of a crime, you either did or didnt. Do you see what I am saying ROFL!.... You have posted some halarious crap in the past, but this is one of the best. Let's do math for marines.... if the speed limit is 35 mph, and my speedometer is displaying 40 mph... that means.... hold on, let me think... I got it... I was "exceeding the posted speed." Why do scrots like you always have to try and find a loop hole? Is taking responsibility for your actions against your ethics or something? Celicaca....more power to you. You know what you did wrong, and you're not trying to place blame on someone else or find a loop hole. There's nothing wrong with asking for advice on how to come out as best you can, even if you did do something wrong. Life is about making mistakes. It takes a real man to own up to them and accept the results. I'm a little late to offer helpful advice, but I do hope everything came out at least satisfactory for you. Good luck and be safe! |
