Hey guys, Hope you all dont get to heated for this quetion, but I had a dual exhuast with no name muffler and tip installed into my 97 gt celica conv. My only question is, what is it actually doing for my car, is it gonna pose as a future problem. For my intentions were only to give my car more of a louder bark with out the bite if you know what I mean.Ill apply pictures to show you what I have done and how it looks. Oh another thing my car is an automatic if that helps you figure out what problems might occur in the future p.s it sounds really good to with a deep resonating hum to it.

ok well let just state the facts here:
no celica is EVER a dual exhaust.....my car, kidett, and the other guys none of us.... its a single pipe with a Y for 2 tips.....you can get the same gains as a single exhaust or you can get less...its all in how you design it... pipe size, the transition from single to dual pipe it all depends on design...when i did mine i made sure that i was split pretty well, idealy you want to keep a pretty tight "V" shape to get the gases to flow smooth still, and keep your pipes equal lengths.... and the noise isn't because of two mufflers or 1 muffler they can be JUST AS LOUD....the noise comes from removing a cat, removing a resonator or whatever a properly designed and thought out system and be quiet and functional.... but REALLY it just for looks and personally i like to keep it symetrical and one on each side |
