Hey guys, Hope you all dont get to heated for this quetion, but I had a dual exhuast with no name muffler and tip installed into my 97 gt celica conv. My only question is, what is it actually doing for my car, is it gonna pose as a future problem. For my intentions were only to give my car more of a louder bark with out the bite if you know what I mean.Ill apply pictures to show you what I have done and how it looks. Oh another thing my car is an automatic if that helps you figure out what problems might occur in the future p.s it sounds really good to with a deep resonating hum to it.

OMG RESONATOR matters. No **** sherlock. For that matter, Pipe diameter ALSO matters.
I can in fact, make a concrete factual statement based on how many mufflers one has. If the system is the same (however, you'd need to figure out what's the "same" pipe diameter), but there is more room for noise to escape (more muffers) you're going to be louder. However, I cannot profess to be able to explain this with an equation, because the one equation I can find (for sound coming from a sphere) disputes it. Ir=Pac/A Where I is the soun intensity, measured in watts PAx is the acoustic power, measured in watts and A is the area This post has been edited by shid: Oct 15, 2005 - 3:58 PM |
