TO ALL 6 GEN GT OWNERS AUTO OR MANUAL
I SPOKE WITH ONE OF THE ENGINEERS AT RIPP MODIFICATIONS HIS NAME WAS RAY. YES IT'S TRUE ABOUT THE SUPERCHARGER BEING DISCONTINUED,BUT ONLY TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. THEY ARE WILLING TO BRING THE PROGRAM BACK TO LIFE IF WE CAN COME TOGETHER AS A GROUP OF 5 ENTHUSIASTS THAT ARE ONLY WILLING TO GAIN POWER THROUGH THE SUPERCHARGER.HE ALSO SAID YOU MUST BE PRICE COMMITTED, KNOWING THAT IN ORDER TO ACHEIVE THIS GOAL IT WOULD COST NEARLY 4,500.00 US AMERICAN DOLLARS ON EACH OF OUR PART. AND OF THAT 4,500.00 G'S YOU WOULD HAVE TO PUT A 1,000 DOLLAR DOWN PAYMENT.SO THIS IS WHAT YOUR LOOKING AT AS A GROUP- 5 INDIVIDUALS WILLING TO SPEND THAT AMOUNT, EACH PERSON PUTTING A 1,000 DOLLAR DOWN PAYMENT AND THEN FOLLOWING THROUGH.5 PEOPLE EQUAL 22,500 DOLLARS 5 PEOPLE TO PLACE A 5,000 DOLLAR DOWN PAYMENT. BEING THE FIRST GROUP TO HAVE A SUPECHARGED WRECKING CREW PRICELESS.NOW IM NOT SAYING THIS IDEA IS THE BEST OR MOST COST EFFECTIVE WAY- WHAT I AM SAYING IS THAT THIS IS THE ROAD LESS TAKEN TO OZ.WE DO KNOW OF THE ENGINE SWAP AND TURBO, ALL IM SAYING IS THAT A SUPERCHARGER STILL EXISTS AS A LIVING AND BREATHING DREAM. IT'S BEEN SLEEPING FOR 2 YEARS FROM BEING DISCONTINUED, ONLY TIME WILL TELL WHEN IT WAKES UP AGAIN. This post has been edited by ROMANO: Oct 15, 2005 - 1:06 PM |

huh? i had motor issues ?
the only problems i remember having were clutch, bad axel, worn motor mounts, strange steering issue from loose control arm, walbro fuel pump went bad, none of those have anything to do with the motor. most of those issue were my fault do to not doing it right the 1st time around. dont get me wrong, doing a swap will turn you into a mechanic and you will be poping the hood more often to check up on things. but the same thing will happen when u add a charger or a turbo kit. get ready for your clutch to start sliping, motor mount to wear out, charger to make funny from a loose belt, etc....all because you are now making 2x the power the car was ever designed to handle. if you want to NEVER have to pop the hood for anything except oil changes, then keep your car as stock as possible.
