Do Celicas have Timing Belts? rolleyes.gif

Cuz we cant find one... So we're not sure if there is one or not...

He means there are imports out there with engine's called low clearence engines, low clearence means that if your water pump goes out your timeing belt will shred and your valves don't close and make the piston go into it. when you have an engine like ours that doesn't happen because the pistons and valves are not that close together. I've been in there a cuple times working on stuff. It's not to bad, but it's no party. Seems to me that the valves should be closer to the pistons, the engine does have 9.5:1 compresion. Nice to know that I don't have much to worry about if my water pump goes out. I'm going to haff to change that soon. It could go bad, then it'd be a pain changing. lol, like it matters, now or later. I'm still going to do it next weekend now.
