I've got this weird sound coming from my engine right now. It doesn't happen a lot, only sometimes. It could happen all the time, but I just don't notice it though. It's very faint noise too. It sounds kind of like water swashing when I hit the gas. It's only at really low rpm, then the noise of the engine is too loud to hear it anymore. I afraid it might be a piece of metal in my intake manifold, could have broken off from my CAI. Anyone have ideas to what else it could be? I'm going to try vacuming out my manifold tomorrow.

I also had a noise similar to this last year. It sounded to me like water tumbling over rocks but I only got it when i first started up the car before it was warm and only at idle or when I 1st started to accelerate. I couldnt figure it out at 1st but then I figured it was air bubbles in my coolant. I put a new radiator on and flushed the system out and that solved the problem. I have heard the sound once since then and that was when I was a little low on coolant. I would check your coolant to see if its low. also take off the radiator cap and run the car for about 15-20 mins and check to see if air bubbles come up. otherwise get the radator flushed or do it yourself.
Hope that helps NEVER- -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |
