ok i emailed elprototypes and they said
Hello: Based upon our experience, this is not a simple job. Testing, splicing and configuring for the application is about 30 hours. This assumes both harnesses are in original undamaged condition. Note: We solder all joints and match all wire gauges to avoid the risk of damage to the vehicle. The flat rate for this service is $1,500. The hourly rate is $65. / hour for damaged harnesses or repair of modified harnesses. By now you may be experiencing "sticker" shock; however, we would like to assure you that the cost is real, as is the time to do it properly. (We do a lot of repairs to harnesses that have been improperly modified and the total cost is invariably higher for the customer.) Regards, ELP is there not anyone who an do it cheaper, and i though someone told me ^they did their harness for $300 -------------------- |

QUOTE(Digndoug @ Sep 7, 2004 - 7:14 PM) Hey Lagos has any one started the how to on this?? I remember there was a thread about this two months back.. you know anyhting?? or does anyone? i started to make a how to a while back... there is a bunch of little things you need to do besides what the others are telling you (3rd ecu plug, 4 interior plugs, rewiring the bottom half of the fuse box to work with the 3s harness, wiring the fuel pump relay, the resistor pack, alt wires, starter wire, tricky 3s plug needs rewired, 3s plugs...IG1 & IG2) there might be some other stuff i forget to mention. i have been slowly taking pics and writing a how to but have not had time to finish it. I think there have only been 3 people that have actually done their own harness ...Me, Qutar, and Dr. Tweak so that tells you right there it is probably the hardest thing about the swap!!! I have done about 10 swap harnesses and i have had problems with 3 due to the fact that i forgot to splice 1 wire on lagos and the same thing for def's. It is very easy to mix up wires. Just one mistake could make a 3s not start up or not run correct! That is why i will not post a how to until i make sure it is 110% perfect and easy for everyone to follow. DG -------------------- |
