My boot release recently died on me.....someone...anyone help me!!!! it aint working, it just makes a clicking noise!!! plz frown.gif

***well first of all, see if you can open your trunk with key,

if you can that means that cables are fine, but if you cannot,

then take the plastic cover off w/ 4 plastic screws, make sure

that the cables are hooked up (they tend to come out at turns

of 50 mph - mine did couple times)

*** If you can open with the key, that means that lock hook is busted,

the locking mechanism and lock-hook are one piece so in order to

replace it you are going to need new locking mechanism with a

special order from Toyota Dealer for your apropriate key....

Hardware $70 +tax
Labor 1 hour (usually $60/hour)
any certified toyota dealer
***expect delay of about 7 days.....

you can save couple $ and install it yourself...any info let me know....
