Thats right, more harrassment. Apparently my tag light was out, but he wanted to search my car too! Funny how those two things go together. Of course he found nothing except my expired registration and license, which apparently is a felony. Talked my way out of it though, and was free and clear, yet again. (I talked my way out of a speeding ticket last month!) Of course, I had to pay like $200 to get all my stuff up to date the next day. Oh well, beats that AND tickets.
There have been a couple topics on how to get out of tickets lately. So I thought I'd offer some advice. The best way to beat a ticket, is stopping him from writing one. -------------------- |

p.s. putting ur liscence next to ur school ID doesnt do ANYTHING. U honestly think that a cop will feel sympathetic for a teen speeding just by lookin at their school ID?

QUOTE(Sh0gunkid8721 @ Oct 28, 2005 - 5:35 PM) p.s. putting ur liscence next to ur school ID doesnt do ANYTHING. U honestly think that a cop will feel sympathetic for a teen speeding just by lookin at their school ID? If you're school ID isn't a high school one, a lot. Also, if you read my post, you'd see that it isn't about sympathy. I don't know how you'd get the idea that a school ID is supposed to generate sympathy. Usually, and I've heard cops describe it as such, it reminds them to take a step back and see the bigger picture of things- that your identity for the society they are trying to protect goes beyond "renegade speeder" and probably extends to starving (and if you're really lucky, Grad) student. And, there is a huge difference between being masochistic and taking it like a man when you are pulled over, and being polite, curterous and apologetic- and then taking it like a man and paying the ticket if he gives you one. There's no reason to scream: YOU CAUGHT ME, I WAS GOING 80 ON THE FREEWAY. I DESERVE TO BE ARRESTED. JUST SHOOT ME NOW. Just be polite and curteous.. oh yeah, and if you're a security guard, keep that ID IN FRONT of your liscense. This post has been edited by shid: Oct 29, 2005 - 10:19 AM |
