i wasn't trying to be mean - but some times one can add that "yes i have searched " or "although this has been covered before" but i still want more information or opinions would make some like my self know that you are really interested and have done the home work
below are links to past posts http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=14817&hl= http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=12070&hl= http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=4749&hl= http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1640&hl= (good one to look at) http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...1&hl=beams+vvti http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...3&hl=beams+vvti These topics have been discussed in many post, but searching for it will take some time because some of the post topic started isn't about the beams but seems to lead into the beams and info on turboing it. There i've done the search and thats what I found - I'm sure if i wasn't tired - i would find more. Didn't mean to offend anyone. Some people wonder if the 3S-GE engine will be the same as the 3S-GTE if you add a turbo to it. It will not be the same. The 3S-GE engine with VVT-i has a compression ratio of 11.0:1 and the 3S-GE without VVT-i has a compression ratio of 10.3:1, while the 3S-GTE engine has a compression ratio of 8.5:1. So to add a turbo to the 3S-GE, you would need to lower the compression through the use of internal engine parts. Below are the specifications for these engines. Don't get me wrong - I love this forum and enjoy reading every one's comments even negative ones - thats what makes this forum interesting - unlike other car communities I feel that the 6gc is more like a family - because each thread i read - i learn more about every one's personality by the way they write on here This post has been edited by celicarus: Oct 31, 2005 - 1:35 AM |
