We all thought that they are identical. As a matter of fact, the hub end has the same number of splines. BUT, it is not the same size. So the camry axle will not fit in our 6gen hubs. So after I learned this I figured I would take the inner cv joint apart and put it on my broken st185 axle. The inner pieces on this end are different sizes as well. The shaft is different. And the grooves of the bearing are different. Here's a pic. Guys this really sucks, less availability.

Hey Steve.
This is going to lead back to the same thing. You use MR2 inners and ST185 outters, and they work. I use MR2 inner and Camry outters, and they work. I don't understand why the camry axel you got didn't fit in your 6gc hub. they fit perfect on mine. |
