my antenna no longer goes up, anyone else have this trouble, do i just need to lube it up?

The mast is a 30-minutes, $20 repair job that's really easy to complete -- and sounds like it's your're problem. Generally, the first thing to go on these antennas is the plastic track that raises/lowers the mast.
Unbolt the outer nut, remove the trunk panels, remove the motor assembly and then you can pull the mast from the motor. Motor's easy to disassemble if it turns out the track is broken, since that means you probably have a chunk of the track still in the motor gears. |
