3s-gte head on a 3s-fe motor Options

Is it possible? According to the info I have read the only difference is the head. The block and internals are the same. Once again according to the numbers. Im also trying to find the right tranny to put in my 95 celica ST. Also does anyone know if a right hand car has an opposite shift pattern than left hand.

I've been here a while, and I've seen the 3sgte head discussed about being on a 5sfe block, but never on a 3sfe block. I know the 3sfe, and 5sfe engines are very similar. They'll be someone along here eventually who can answer this for you. This would be neat to do. Go buy a 3sfe out of a Camry and put a 3sgte head on it. Seems more practical to just get a 3sge, if that's what your going for. You said nothing about turbo, and this is in the NA forum, so I assume. If I were you, I might pm Kwanza. He seems to have a good knowledge of most of the engines. If he can't tell you, he'll probably be able to direct you to the right person. Check the celicatech website too. There's a bunch more innovations there than is here.
