Tomorrow I'm going to check out the 4A-GZE clip that I want. I've read a lot about the swap and the swap in other cars too. I have a question aboutt the wiring. How does that work? If I get the engine with an uncut harness... Would I have to rewire everything else in the car as far as the cluster and a/c control and all that sh it connected to the harness? Or can you just do the engine? That way I won't have to do any wiring. Because I always here people talk about how hard wiring is. With the 3S, for example. Since quite a few people have done it in the Celi, can't you just make a chart showing what wire from the 5s connects to what on the 3s ecu. I don't really get the whole wiring topic period. Can someone explain this to me? And if so, does anyone have a how to on how to wire a 4A-GZE. Or however that question is asked. Thanks.

Anyone? This question is kinda generic. This is the type of bullsh!t i'm talking about that i get from you guys.

look, just because you don't get answers right away it doesn't mean you have to be a jerk.

it is simple. There is a wiring harness that plugs into the ECU, then goes to the engine, then plugs come off of it and plug into sensors on the motor, then it ends at the main fuse box in the engine bay. There are about 60 wires going to the ECU and about 20-30 going to the main fuse box (tweak correct me if I am wrong). You would need to splice a bunch of wires from one harness to match up to the corresponding wires on the other. You dig ? Do you know what color wire on your 7a harness is for the EFI ? or anything ? what about the same wires on the AE101 harness ? any idea ? Well Dr Tweak does, also DG. These guys have the information you do not have.

When you rewired the 205 cluster for your ST, do you remember how difficult it was getting all of the right info ? and making it all work properly ? An engine wiring harness is just like that except about 10X more wires and info generally changes from year to year so you would need the exact info on the motor you have and the new motor.

Also, if you make a mistake, like a wrong wire going to were it shouldn't you could burn an electrical system, or if you have a bad soldering connection you would be screwed.

edit : to remove the harness, you would need to remove the ECU and unplug the interior plugs from it, then snake it through the firewall and it is best to remove the engine from the car to throughly get it off.
