I got an aftermarket exhaust manifold for my 5sfte setup which I believe was designed off of a sw20 instead of a 185 block and am having an issue with clearnce with the alternator braket, pretty much the manifold tells me that an extra bolt goes in there and the braket is telling that aint gonna happen. I am assuming that it is due to the difference between the 185 and sw20 alternator brakets and the number of bolts for the exhaust manifold. My question is really has anyone else had this same problem and did the mr2 bracket fix it for you?? Im pretty sure it will but wanna double check before buying one.

Pretty sure I posted one in my profile of the Exhaust mani, turbo and downpipe assembly
Also had another ?... Has anyone tired using the 3sgte turbo stay with the 5sfte? I was looking on my blown motor last night and it appears that it has the same holes as my 3sgte block had for the stay but it coulda been a motor mount hole, it was a little hard for me to see cuz the motor is wedged into a wooden rolly cart right now and the sides kinda block everything in the area Thanks NEVER- -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |
