so it seems that stock 17in TC rims are a nice and cheap option for us. the tc uses the same bolt pattern and you can find these rims on ebay for around 200$....oh and it seems they are hub centric for our car! im kind of tempted to buy a pair. here is a before and after photochop of these rims on my car.

They are still in the Toyota family, but some people may have issues putting Scion rims on a Toyota. I personally don't.
