Ok so ive put off my credit card for a while hoping money would fall from the sky cuz I have monthly bills I gotta keep up on. I wrote down all my bills recently and talked it over with my parents and they see that i was in a bind so they said they would cover about half as long as I made effort to pay. So yesterday I was like IM TIRED OF THINKING OF THIS GOD DAMN CREDIT CARD - its been on my mind for a year and a half! so I finally went down and paid my 500 dollars on it. It feels so good to have it gone but now im like crap im going to be negative in my bank account. Maybe i shouldnt have paid all of it off! but i just want it gone so i dont have to think about it!

I hate credit cards..i wish someone would have told me what I now tell youngins....Get a credit card when you turn 18 but just buy a dvd or two with it every now and then and dont pay it all in full...make the minimum payment a few times before you pay it all so it shows you can be on time with payments and continue doing so.

I am going to try for a credit card again but i only want a 500 dollar limit so it will be there for emergencies only!

Yay only about 800 more dollars of stupid past bills (including a 50 dollar library fine) and ill be done! :-)

i love this feeling of getting rid of debt! cuz its a scary thought to think that i would be turned down for a loan in my mid-late 20's to buy a house or a car!

So kids - Pay your bills!

I rack up about a $300 bill every month but since I use it for just about everything I normally would with cash I pay it off every month.

Smart man. I do the same albeit with higher bills. The notion that you should not pay something off in order to develop a credit history is silly. Having and using the credit card is developing the credit history. There is no reason to incur high interest charges.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

If you use it that consistently you should get a rewards card. I have a Delta Skymiles card. I get skymiles for every dollar spent and double for gas. I hope they're still around long enough for me to use them.
