you cant just drill a hole. you need to have a short pipe welded on there so that you can fit a 1in hose over it. remember all that stuff has to be air tight. your car will not run right there is even a small air leak there.
for mine, i was going to buy a straight intake pipe and weld all the connections on there that i need. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

QUOTE(lagos @ Nov 20, 2005 - 5:35 AM) you cant just drill a hole. you need to have a short pipe welded on there so that you can fit a 1in hose over it. remember all that stuff has to be air tight. your car will not run right there is even a small air leak there. Word. Of course your piping is aluminum, which most people can weld. That said, if you're on a budget, you can get yourself a 1" tube, cut it down, drill a 1" hole in the intake, put the tube in there, and JB Weld it in place. (Yes, I said JB Weld). Or use epoxy. It will hold fine, be airtight, and since the hose will be over it anyway, it won't show. -Doc -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |
