Ok, so im in the market for a new car. My budget has been greatly increased due to my promotion a month or so ago. So now im looking for a car thats $40,000 and under, so of course my first choice was a brand new Evolution IX, sounds good, looks nice, drives like a mad man. So I get on the Evo forums and do my research, and I hear that they have alot of problems with there transmission, gear box, ect. So then I look into the '06 WRX STi, it looks pretty decent has some potential, but the inside is just butt ugly and it also has a few problems such as engine syncros. And it also does not have a sunroof or leather :-( Then I poked around at the 350z touring edition. Leather, dvd navigation, but its a 2 seater, which isnt THAT bad but I was really pushing for a 4. Is there no car that is ungodly fast, under $40,000 and wont break down after only 15k miles? Im also leaning more towards the 350z than the other 2 since girls love a nice 2 seater with rims. It also passed my mind a few times to see if I cant get my hands on a skyline, but after all the numbers came out I was short quite a bit :-/

QUOTE(Bigmeanbulldog55 @ Nov 21, 2005 - 9:59 PM) I'll chalk up another vote of G35. Freaking sweet cars. But I can't believe a BMW has not been mentioned. I'm tworn between the two. If I were to get a new car now, it would be one of these. A couple year old Porshe 911 turbo wouldn't be bad, kinda ugly though. BMW still my first choice. lol good luck finding a couple year old porsche 911 turbo in that price range...barely even a 10 year old turbo for that price. BMW is a nice choice though, a new M3 or so would be quite nice. QUOTE(yarik83 @ Nov 21, 2005 - 11:04 PM) I will be the first one to say it and by god i want others to support my opinion. if you are willing to spend 40K ona new vehicle.. just get your butt to florida and buy the 95 gt-4 in mint condition. upgrade the hell out of it and you got a car that is better than evo Well 40k on a NEW vehicle is what he wants. I'm sure 40k would go a great distance on a GT4 and while many of us would like to see the GT4 in good hands I think I'm going to side with him on this, it's just totally not practical. All in all I would reommend the G35, it's like the 350z but then again it's not. And then like was already said is the Altima, those are nice cars for the money. I think if I were to buy a new car it would be between a 350z, Altima, or M3. -------------------- 1999 Celica GT
