First off im not sure if this belongs here or in engines/ transmissions. I felt this leaned more this direction.

Im looking at painting the valve cover / heatshield and going martha stuart on the wires and hoses. What brands would you guys recommend using? I've seen a few types of engine enamels but im not sure which to go with. For the valve cover I thought i'd go with a 500degree heat enamel and for the heatshield something higher. As for the hoses and wires, are people here using mesh sleeves to cover them up, or are there precoated hoses and wires out there im unaware of? As far as I know of only nology really has anything to offer in terms of color.

I think it should be in the engine/transmission section.
I believe someone has started a similar thread not to long
ago.
