I am considering some Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 in 235/40/17 and was wondering about fitment on a 7.5" rim. The specs on tirerack say a rim width range of 8-9.5". Anyone put oversize tires (width wise) on rims? What was your experience?

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

235's would be fine on 7.5in rim...it will give a tad bit of wheel protection also. I ran 245's on 7in wide and that was alittle bulging
