ok so i looked at that how to and found that the diagram does not match up with what it says to do with the black wire coming out of the coil. It says it will be connected to the orange wire from the btm but it shows it being connected to the read.
Manny has typed, in a rush as he had to run, that... PRESURE2: the white wire coming from the coil gets cut PRESURE2: the coil side of the wire goes to the orange from the BTM PRESURE2: the harness side goes to black from the tach adapter PRESURE2: the white wire is white with a blue stripe PRESURE2: then the red from both units tap into the black wwith ornage stripe. but what about the white one from the btm and the gray one from the tach adapter? I know manny was in a rush but perhaps later someone can revize the how to or help me out. id hate to hook the rong wire up to the rong place lol. thanks in advance and no stress on time. |

QUOTE(presure2 @ Dec 2, 2005 - 8:04 PM) sorry vins was a non cali car, so i didnt install the BTM. and i no longer have mine installed. Thanks very much anyway. I think my MSD is just fried - I'm sending back for warranty and then just going to use the trial and errror method to figure it out again. I did it once with no help and I can do it again. Maybe this time I will put a fuse in-line so this cannot happen again. Warning to all: Don't use the stock coil - it can't hold up for long. Mine blew after 6 months and fried my MSD 6BTM. Buy the cheap as hell Blaster2 coil and do it right the first time. -------------------- ![]() |
