Hi folks.
A few of you guys here seem pretty interested in the beams motor. Well I am rebuilding one at the moment. I know quite a lot about these engines, as I have been researching for the last year or so, trying to find out information here and there. I have the motor in bits at the moment, my hands are tied until I get my bottom end bearings. So if you have any questions, or would like to see any pics etc, let me know. ![]() My motor has a port & polished head (Which was done by an unknown company in Japan) heat wrapped TOMs extractrors, Apexi intake, cusco paddle clutch, light weight cusco flywheel, balanced crank/rods/pistons/flywheel, and the cat has been replaced with a straight through pipe. Hopefully it will make in the region of 210-220 flywheel hp, or about 180-185 hp at the wheels. And BTW it will be going into a 1050kg MR2. ![]() This post has been edited by roman: Dec 7, 2005 - 2:56 AM |

QUOTE(soven @ Dec 7, 2005 - 4:38 AM) send it this way if you find no use of it ![]() j/k . Looks good I'd put you in my will to get the motor if I die, but then you'd just kill me. ![]() Yeah Ive spent a lot so far, Ive had the block over bored half a millimeter, the head completely stripped down and rebuilt. Brand new oversized pistons, rings, belts, gaskets, filters etc. Parts arent cheap, and they have to come from Japan. But on the plus side, it will be virtually a brand new motor when I'm done. ![]() Will hopefully be worth the stress/money/effort. ![]() |
