After thinking for a while now I am dissatisfied with the celi with the 4age engine. There are just so many cars out there that can perform so much better and go so much faster. Maybe its just me and maybe its just my crappy tuning that sucked cause my car won't go any faster, but after a while. I'm begining to think that I should have never got into the Modding scene in the first place. There is no prize and there is no trophy for beating your rivals on the streets and there is no Reputation to keep when your ride gets totaled.
So basically, for those of you starting out your Modding career in the car world, keep this in mind. A stock car came in like crap to begin with, when you start out adjusting every feature in the stock car to make it look different and perform different from the rest. Your just pooring more and more cash into a car that would probbaly turn out to be different at the end and end up as something that could never quench your thirst. If you want a fast car, get one to begin with and then start modding from there. In the end, the time you waste and the efforts and money you put in will pay off. If you start with a slow car, nothing will change unless you have deep pockets. The Celica 6Gen is just not worth it to Modd nor any other cars that came in N/A with a Slow A** engine. |

ok when i first bought the celica....3 years or so ago i wanted to mod it like crazy....i mean lets be honest, civics can beat us stock. but i ill be honest i bought this car based only on looks, i knew nothing of the power. the celica has some of the best looks of a sports coupe ever!!
but it is slow, but its nothing a little research and alot of hard work cant fix. in my situation its not in my best interest to spend 3-7k on a motor swap. yes speed and power are a big issue but the celica is not for that if you dont have time or money i have a 300hp 350z sitting in my garage and thats enough power for me....for now at least , but the celica still looks just as good as my z and people DO turn and look at the celica still. as of right now the power cravings are done .......for the moment at least. i do plan on turboing the z eventually. i have no plans of getting rid of the celica because i will always love that car i guess what im trying to say is, if you want cheap power without any work or research or creativity even...buy a civic si/rsx/srt-4/gti....these cars are all factory "fast" and are very easily modded, i know not everyone can afford a z or an evo or a sti, but there are other alternatives....just dont expect the celica to be a 12 sec car without some hard work This post has been edited by fastgt: Dec 7, 2005 - 5:54 PM -------------------- 2011 Spice Orange Mini Cooper
