Hey, so i found out 2day my moms gettin me a PSP 4 x-mas, and im just curious, i know there is wifi capabilty on the PSP but on the back of most of the games ive seen it says " Wi-Fi compatible (ad hoc)". Im just curious, for the wifi, do u just have to be in a wirelessnet work area? or is their an add on?? Also, i think it was Chan55 that had a pic of him accessing the net/websites from his psp. Any one know how to do this?

to have internet access, you need to be in a wifi hotspot or within range of a wireless router. for that, you would set up your wifi to infrastructure (which means.. to connect to a wireless router).

ad-hoc means you can connect to another local device within range.. this doesn't require you to be near a router. so basically you can play multi-player in ad-hoc directly with a friend.. it's kinda like game-link for GameBoy but way better!
