Is it possible? According to the info I have read the only difference is the head. The block and internals are the same. Once again according to the numbers. Im also trying to find the right tranny to put in my 95 celica ST. Also does anyone know if a right hand car has an opposite shift pattern than left hand.

I already have a 3sfe in my celica it is a rhd from japan

Whats a rhd?
What kind of power bhp more with swapping the head do??
And if it doesnt give you an increase in bhp why do it?

rhd is Right Hand Drive. You can pick up some horsepower from doing this due to better design of head. The valve angles are more to the sides so it allows better flow but less effeciate burn. The 5s"f"e or 3s"f"e heads are more like signal cam than dual. It's not supposed to be that big of a gain unless your turboed, according to Kwanza. I think it would still help, it just wouldn't be worth the gain.

By the way, this is an old post. You need to do some searching on google and this site. Then you can contribute as well as ask questions.

On a 3S block you'll basically be building a 3SGE so it will be ok. On a 5S block (5SGE n/a)... waste of time due to the block's short-comings in the n/a power design.
